Recovery in Housing Finance

Samir has been part of HDFC Ltd Home Loan team for 37 years. Samir’s expertise is in collection, recovery and Credit Risk Management (CRM). He played a pivotal role in developing the CRM team across the country. He has been part of many National level Recovery Task Force set up at various branches from time to time and a member on many National level committee for different projects such as change in NPA level from 180 days to 90 days, Controlling Negative Amortization, implementation of SARFAESI proceeding for HFIs, implementation of Electronic Pay modes etc. He was also a regular faculty / trainer / facilitator for different in house training programs. With his experience and knowledge in Data maintenance and analysis, he has conceived and executed the idea of computerization of back-office processing of recovery functions, thereby building robust user-friendly systems for MIS. He has also assisted the business development team in Field Credit Investigation for a location or for a company so as to build a loan book having low delinquencies.
